Bedsore is a pressure-induced ulceration of the skin occurring in persons confined to bed for a long time. Reduction of pressure over bony prominences is of primary importance to prevent and cure bedsore. As well as this functional aspect to prevent patient’s bedsore, user’s needs is also very important to improve user’s satisfaction for the bed. So we surveyed and analyzed user’s needs and unsatisfactory aspects for a bed to prevent bedsore. And then, we decided some directions to design the bed through analyzed results. Finally, we made 3D model using graphic software and real prototype by the direction of design.
