    A numerical model of cascade heat utilization on phosphoric acid fuel cell waste heat is developed for the building energy application. Organic Rankine cycle and absorption cycle sub-models were integrated with the fuel cell model in order to utilize waste heat. The energy demand pattern is obtained from previous experimental studies to reflect the actual annual load of a typical hotel building. The tap water is used as the heat sink fluid for the organic Rankine cycle and absorption cycle before it is supplied as the domestic hot water. Performance of the baseline and proposed models are compared to each other in terms of energy, environment, and economic indices to underline the effect of cascade heat utilization system. The proposed system can save 15.8% and reduce 15.4% of primary energy and carbon emission compared to the baseline system, respectively.
