Today, medical system in Korea faces to two major flows of change. The first one is the change in size from large size general hospital to small-to-middle size special hospital. The second one is the change on a point of view from function-oriented hospital to patient-focused hospital. Un these two flows of change, the pediatric dentistry is a typical small-to-middle size special hospital.
This study represents the standards for the spatial composition and area calculation in the pediatric dentistry according to domestic situation. The present conditions and the space programs in the pediatric dentistry are investigated and analyzed for this purpose. This study suggests a basic study on the architectural planning of the pediatric dentistry.
