1. Research Purpose
This study involves developing a law-related education program for international marriage migrant women with a aim to support their adaptation to Korean society. Through this program marriage migrant women themselves can be aware of their basic legal rights, so that they can prevent their fundamental human rights from being violated unfairly. In addition, they are able to improve their ability to cope with the damage of crimes and to prevent crimes
2. Research Method
This program is a two year (2011-2012) project that the development and implementation of the program is made in a two-step process. The first step (2011) involves conducting basic research for a law-related education in order to determine the actual contents that consist of each module of a law-related education for marriage migrant women. The second step (2012) involves developing video education material based on the teaching manual and workbook developed at the first step.
In order to organizing contents of each module of a law-related education for marriage migrant women, typical counsel examples with marriage migrant women were adopted. These representative examples are opportune and urgent for a law-related program. The construction and main contents of this program are as follows.
