The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship among competition state anxiety, imagery types and psychological skills of middle and high school shooting athletes applied to the psychological training program for twelve weeks. This study has been applied to total 180 middle and high school shooting athletes of 90 men and 90 women who represent Seoul, Incheon and Chungcheongnam-do province with ultimate total of 177 athletes consisting of 89 men and 88 women. The used statistical methods for the data analysis were frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, weight estimation regression analysis by using SPSS 16.0 program.
The results were as followings. First, competition state anxiety had a significant effect on imagery types. Second, competition state anxiety had a significant effect on psychological skills. Third, imagery types had a significant effect on psychological skills.
