As renewable energy generation increases around the world, the uncertainty in forecasting power demand Is increasing. The importance of the ESS(Energy Storage system) is emerging as the amount of surplus power from renewable energy generation increases, but the current BES(Battery Energy Storage) technology has a distinct limitation. As a countermeasure against this, in recent years, not only Electricity, but also MES(Multi Energy Storage), which simultaneously operates various energy storage devices such as NGS(Natural Gas Storage), TES(Thermal Energy Storage), IES(Ice Energy Storage), and HES(Hydrogen Energy Storage) is in progress. MES integrates individual energies into a single system as a whole through Energy hub concepts. In order to verify the advantages of the constructed MES, each study selects a target to be dealt with in the study and derives improved results compared to the existing system through optimization work. In this paper, we look at P2G(Power to Gas), CHP(Combined Heat Power), and CCHP(Combined Cooling Heat Power) in terms of the structure of each EH, and review the composition and purpose of MES as a whole.
