    The Building Integrated Photovoltaic Thermal (BIPVT) system, which integrates a PVT (Photovoltaic Thermal) system capable of generating both electricity and heat into the building structure, aims to minimize energy loads and consumption required for buildings. This study analyzed the performance of the BIPVT system and conducted experiments by incrementally increasing the area ratio of the BIPVT system to the total building area. Using the ECO2 software, the study examined how the area ratio of the BIPVT system impacts building energy consumption and energy self-sufficiency. According to the results of the ECO2 simulation, the application of the BIPVT system resulted in an energy consumption value that was 29.3 kWh/m² lower compared to the BIPV system, based on the full application across floors from the 20th to the 1st floor. The energy self-sufficiency rate was 22.85% higher. The primary energy consumption per floor decreased by an average of 5.56 kWh/m², while the energy self-sufficiency rate increased by an average of 4.31% per floor.
