This study explores how age and social media shape perceptions of community resilience in disaster-prone Aceh, Indonesia. Drawing on a survey of 400 respondents across four villages, this study examines how different age groups perceive resilience and how social media engagement influences these perceptions. The findings reveal that while age alone insignificantly impacts perceived community resilience, older adults (60+) exhibit lower resilience perceptions. However, social media engagement positively moderates this relationship, enhancing resilience perceptions among older individuals. This study underscores the importance of digital engagement in fostering community resilience, particularly among vulnerable age groups. These findings contribute to a broader discourse on disaster adaptation, highlighting the potential of social media as a tool for reinforcing community resilience during crises.
