    Im, Hee-Joo. 2011. Needs analysis for effective English village curriculum in Korea. Korean Journal of English Language and Linguistics 11-3, 627-647. This study is to analyze the needs for effective program development in English village in Korea. Total thirteen participants who are nine students and two teachers and two program developers take part in this research. Various research methods such as interview, students' learning journal, classroom observation, and researcher's journal are utilized. The research data are qualitatively collected and analyzed. The findings of needs analysis are as follows. First, the current curriculum should be designed based on task-based syllabus. Second, situation-based classes in B English village instead need to be categorized by theme or topic. Third, allotted class time need to be modified for intensive classes.
