    In this paper, we propose a new robust, cheap, simple, and flexible localization system for mobile robots based on beacon method which is good for cost-saving and accurate localization. Beacon method determines location of a robot by measuring the distance and angle of radiated signals from beacons. Our method uses radio frequency as well as ultrasound. The ultrasounds from beacons are synchronized by radio frequency from the robot to beacons. Distance is measured by ultrasounds from beacons to the robot. We developed all hardware and software necessary for this system and tested it in real application. Since the overall system is triggered only when necessary and controlled by mobile robots, beacons and robots can save energy and can be used efficiently in time. In addition, this system can transmit simple messages from one robot to another robot in the map, or to central server through beacons distributed in a building.
