Menu labeling initiative is a legal policy as an intervention to reduce obesity and related chronic diseases, by offering nutritional information of menus in restaurants. The purpose of the study is to determine the relations between health beliefs and behavioral intention to use menu labels in restaurants. An online, self-administered survey was distributed for data collection. The sample of the study consisted of restaurant customers who experienced menu labeling in restaurants in three months at the time of the survey. The findings from the study showed that as the respondents who are male and get older, they tend to have higher levels of health beliefs. The groups of respondents with higher levels of health-consciousness had higher levels of health beliefs than those with lower levels of health-consciousness. Also, the groups of respondents with higher levels of health beliefs had higher levels of intentions to use menu labeling than those with lower levels of health beliefs. Pearson correlation coefficients revealed that positive correlations existed between the health beliefs and intention to use menu labels in the restaurants. The study findings were discussed with implications.
