Miscanthus (Miscanthus species) is a wild weedy grass native in Korea and known as a potential bioenergy crop due to its C₄ perennial rhizomatous growth, high biomass yield, and broad environmental adaptability. Although Korea is known to have diverse miscanthus genetic resources, a little information is available considering the genetic diversity in agronomic traits of Korean miscanthus. Therefore, we collected miscanthus germplasms mainly in Korea and neighboring countries such as China, Japan, and Russia. We planted rhizomes of collected miscanthus accessions at the miscanthus germplasm field located in Seoul National University, Suwon, Korea.
