To obtain the performance data used in rating and certifying a heat pump, the calorimeter is used in testing the heat pump unit with standard rating conditions obtained from domestic or international organizations. Energy is utilized by the calorimeter through refrigeration and electric heating during the testing period. Improving the performance of the calorimeter is significant for energy and cost savings. This study proposed a new calorimeter to measure heat pump system performance. Two flow loop characteristics were used.
