Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify stadium factors and spectators’ behavior of FINA world championship Gwangju by using sportscape model.
Method: To achieve the goal of the study, a total 308 questionnaires were collected from Korean adults. The collected data were analyzed and interpreted by SPSS and AMOSF. or the analysis, frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling were conducted.
Results: The results of this study are as follows. First, three stadium factors (cleanliness, fan control, crowding) had a significant effect on spectators’ desire to stay. Second, loyalty had a significant effect on desire to stay and revisit intention. Third, spectators’ desire to stay had a significant effect on revisit intention.
Conclusion: In summary, this study shows that spectators’ behavior can provide comprehensive perspective on spectators’ behavior process through Sportscape model. Furthermore, the study provides sports facility managers with a practical implication to determine how spectators perceive their facility.
