    To investigate the anti-tumor activity of tannin-enriched extract of Ecklonia cava (TEE) against colon carcinoma, alterations in the tumor growth, histopathological structure, and the molecular mechanism were analyzed in CT26 tumor bearing BALB/cKorl mice, after administration of TEE. This extract contains high levels of total condensed tannin content (326.5 mg/g), and exhibited high inhibitory activity (IC50 = 30.25 mg/ml) against DPPH radicals. In micro CT imaging and weighting analyses, the volume and weight of CT26 tumor was significantly decreased in C57BL/6NKorl mice with 3 doses of TEE for 32 days without changing the weight of other organs.
