초록·키워드
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between epicardial adipose tissue(EAT) and cardiovascular(CVD) risk factor, cardiorespiratory fitness with sedentary behavior in hypertension elderly women. Total of 23 hypertension elderly women (aged 72.57±4.59 years, M±SD) were analysed in the cross-sectional design. Outcomes, including body composition, blood pressure(BP), cardiorespiratory fitness, CVD risk factor, EAT and blood collection, were measured before the prior. And, prior to the blood collection, participants were asked to wear an uniaxial accelerometer for 4 consecutive weeks for the determination of sedentary behavior status. Sedentary behavior was positively correlated with the BP(r=.629, p<.01), EAT(r=.719, p<.01), CDV risk factor(TC, TG, LDL-C, hs-CRP, IL-1β, TNF-α, MCP-1), and negatively correlated with 2 minute walking test(r=.629, p<.01) in hypertension elderly women. Moreover, the EAT was positively correlated with BP(r=.719, p<.01), cardiovascular risk factor, and negatively correlated with 2 minute walking test(r=-.733, p<.01) in hypertension elderly women. This study demonstrates that high amount sedentary behavior may negatively influences on BP, cardiorespiratory fitness, CVD risk factor and EAT in hypertension elderly women. In summary, the current findings of the study suggest that reducing sedentary behavior could have public health implications including the prevention of EAT, cardiorespiratory fitness, CVD risk factor and BP.
