The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between leisure-time sport participation and health care costs among Korean Baby boomers and older people, and also to compare the two generations. Data from ‘2019 National survey on participation sport’ was used to analyze the research questions. A total of 2614 participants (1218 Baby boomers and 1396 older people) were extracted from the data for the analysis. The independent variables were Experience in taking sport-related lessons, Sport club participation, and Leisure-time physical activity. The dependent variable was subjective effect of sport participation on health care costs. SPSS program was used to analyze the statistical methods. Demographical characteristics result was drawn by frequency analysis. and multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the hypotheses. As a result, the effects of Experience in taking sport-related lessons, Sport club participation, and Leisure-time physical activity on health care costs were statistically significant all samples analyzed. There were no significant differences between Korean Baby boomers and older people in the analyzed hypotheses in this study.
