The purpose of this study is to analyze the type of housing support programs for single-person households in the Seoul Metropolitan area. Based on a through review of the archives, research reports, and the latest announcements, the housing support programs were categorized into 4 types. These types were also based on the single-person household types. The housing support programs mainly focused on hosuing supply, support for housing expenses, loan support, and support for renovation services. In addition, the targets of support for single-person household housing support projects were identified to be classified by age. The analysis shows that the housing support programs have been mainly focusing on housing support for single youth households aspect. In the future, these programs need to include a middle-aged single-person households and older single-person households aspects for improving the overall quality of housing service and the wellfare for those single-person households in the area.
