Urbanization focuses on more and more populated cities. The cycle of settlement in modern cities is becoming as short as the business cycle and resident population is flexible. However, the existing construction method cannot effectively cope with the change of the rapidly developing urban society and the change of the floating population. Compared to traditional architectural forms, modular buildings can be constructed and dismantled, and they can be reconstructed into buildings, which can easily fit the fluidity of the urban population. However, current module architecture has a disadvantage that space and molding are simple and monotonous. It does not satisfy the space demand and formative value of various users. In this research, modular construction, which can express various types of form based on shape grammar, has been tried. Firstly, understand shape grammar and analyze and study the manipulation method of shape grammar. Next, various architectural applicability of module modeling has been analyzed. Through this, different architectural formations are derived by applying different rules. Finally, the results of the traditional module models and shape grammar will be compared. Different architectural module models are combined using the same geometric rules and same architectural module models are combined by other grammar rules. By comparing the results of the two combinations, it can be seen that the rules of module molding and different shape grammar have a great influence on the module building form creation when creating the module architecture through the shape grammar. Through changes in the rules of architectural module molding or shape grammar, it is possible to create a modular architecture that provides various spatial sensations and feracious formability. Modular architecture generated by shape grammar can be changed quickly by assembling and disassembling according to the rules of production, and by moving or reconfiguring from time to time, various kinds of architectural molding can be changed. Thus, it is easy to accommodate the living problem of the floating population due to the urban development. In addition, the possibility of reusing building materials can be increased. Further saving the time and resources used to build the urban space.
