    This paper presents the performance analysis of the adaptive convergence factor (ACF) algorithm compared with the LMS algorithm. Such comparisons make it clear that the ACF algorithm requires excessive time for convergence. In order to solve this problem, the bias term is introduced into the ACF algorithm. It is remarkable the increase of operation by introducing the bias term is one addition per iteration. On the other hand, this term unfortunately increases the misadjustment. For reduction of the misadjustment keeping the advantage of fast convergence, a new switching method of algorithms is also proposed. The proposed method requires no trial and error process. The computer simulations show the proposed bias term and switching method are more effective for the fast convergence and the small misadjustment.
