This thesis looked into 'quantity noun-construction structure in korean' as the subject of study, showing 4 types: 'noun + quantifier + classifier' ; 'quantifier + noun' ; 'quantifier + classifier + {-ui(-의))} + noun', which is to analyze the syntactic structure and grammar category establishment of quantity noun syntax. For that, the researcher, setting forth' dual structure of noun phrase', a typical one for noun phrase, as a premise, analyzed that the core element of quantity noun syntax is, not functional category D(classifier) or predicate, but noun(or rhetoric) as a type of noun phrase, then presented their syntactic structure as shown in (A).
And explained about the movement and restriction of the genitive noun phrase of quantity suffix within this frame, and defined 'syntactic structure of a propositional sentence' as the one having the same structure as dual structure of noun phrase, while dealing with the formation and restriction phenomena of 'case-dual sentence' such as dual subject sentence or dual object sentence.
