Auxiliary power supply equipment for rolling stock is essential device to power sources of control circuit, illumination, air conditioner and heater in Electric rail car. Auxiliary power supply equipment is being required compact, low-noise, maintenance free and high-reliability to meet the increasingly complex power supply of modern rolling stock.
This article describes the technique which is lain circuit configuration, appearance and feature of 140kVA static inverter. It is composed of the double chopper and the 12 pulses inverter.
Recently, auxiliary power supply equipment is being deve loped and gone to tendency to research and manufacture DC-DC converter controlled with DDC (Direct Digital Control) to face complex power requirement, namely, AC air compressors, air conditioners, etc.
And then, this article describes main circuit configuration, features of DC-DC converter and this system adopted the double chopper and a 16 bit microprocessor is expeGted to reduce the size, weight and operating noise of this equipment.
