The present study has the purpose to get the proper rating vocabularies for the acoustic performance evaluating of Won Buddhist sanctums. For this, collected data by distributing a questionnarie-paper to Won Buddhists. First, a questionnarie chose vocabularies which were suited to the acoustic performance evaluating of Won Buddhist sanctums among the number of 102 words. Secondly, it evaluated the compatibility by 5 steps of method of rating scale to 26 words which were more than 30 that it was the words of frequency of selection in first questionnarie.
The proper vocabularies for the acoustic performance evaluating on Won buddhist sanctums can be divided three ways of the primary factors- "definition of sound". "Reverberance of sound" and "Loudness of sound". The vocabularies which are included in each primary factor can be expressed as follows; "Warmth of sound", "Clarity of sound","Intimacy of sound"."the balance of sound"and"Intelligibility of sound"."Reverberation of sound". "Envelopment of sound". "Loudness of sound".
