The purpose of this paper was to the develop CAD system named AE-CAD for supporting simulation programs related to architectural environment. The results were as follows:
(1) AE-CAD consisted of 4 modules, modeler, converter, simulation program, and visual editor. Especially, it was introduced into the modeler that new algorithm was similar to building blocks
(2) The data of AE-CAD were classified by objects such as space, face, opening, equipment, building material etc. And AE-CAD was programmed with Object Oriented Programming Language.
(3) It was developed that new simulation program 'SimHeat' to calculate heat load and air flow on AE-CAD.
(4) SimHeat has been verified to calculate heating and cooling load within the range of 5 percent, when it was compared with the most famous simulation program(SMASH) in Japan.
