According to increase vehicle, Inspection&Maintenance program for protection of air pollution from vehicle has been more intensified than security test. Loaded type test that is tested vehicles are run on the dynamometer to reproduce real-world road conditions was applied for light-duty and medium-duty vehicle, but heavy-duty vehicle was tested by no-loaded type test. So there is a problem about difference of test type. In this study, Test for selection of reasonable test method, correlation test of smoke emission for improvement of inspection and comparison test between after-maintenance and before-maintenance was accomplished. Application possibility of loaded test in korea was reviewed. Lug-down test of engine rpm control type is confirmed to most optimal, loaded test is more effective than no-loaded test for reduction of air pollution from vehicle.
