The National Technical Qualification System, for promoting the quality on the Industrial society of Korea, develop the management system of Technical Human Resource as executing Technical Qualification Test be long to Nation. But The Age of Future will be a society of increasing in the value added by Knowledge and Information. Moreover Consturction Industry, be apt to change of social environment, will need for setting up the appropriate standard on the Construction Engineer in Qualification System. It should be made the ways of certifications and the standard of questions applied to the new knowledges and the diverse informations.
Therefore this study has investigated an Improvement Plan of a qualification system on the Construction Engineer through analysing a foreign cases, submitting the questionnaires, consulting with experts, and using of the job analysis.
Finally, the suggested plan implies the standard of question added new contents and given the vision by totally scrutinizing Qualification System which is existed before. In the standard of question, especially, had be added new contents that is a duty of the Maintenance which is divided by experts participated in the discussion. It had supplemented the established standard of question and it will be used for following Technical Qualification Test at 2007.
