In this article, a learning theory can assist the preacher in practical ways. In other words, it helps the preacher to formulate an effective teaching and preaching practice and can provide necessary information as to the nature of a preaching act.
Learning, especially in preaching is more effective when thoughts and emotions are combined with practice and experience in a learning situation. Learning takes place through cognition, behavior, and experience. And learning that take place in participants results more from the process of interaction in and between the preacher and the congregation. This is an active, continuous process between preacher and congregation. Therefore, this learning theory supports the fundamental importance of learning in the context of preaching.
