The purpose of this study was to analyze the plan design of brand apartments, and to provide housing designers and housing construction firms with the relevant information. Literature review and content analysis were used in this research. Data drawn from 223 plans of brand apartments. Data were analyzed with the SPSS PC+ 12.0 window version.
The results were summarized as follows: 1) There was difference in the plan type, the number of bays and the spatial division of spatial arrangement among the plans of housing size. 2) There is difference in the number of rooms and the size of rooms, living room, kitchen, balcony, dressroom, storage and the ratio of rooms, living room, personal space, kitchen, dressroom and storage of spatial composition among the plans of housing size. 3) There was no difference in spatial linkage of the plan design among the plans of housing size. But there was a little difference in spatial zoning and approach between entrance and livingroom. 4) In case of support space, small sized apartment plan has garden space, medium sized apartment plan has garden space, laundry space, dressroom. and large sized apartment plan has powder room, laundry space, dressroom. It was found that the larger housing size, the more various type of support space.
