I looked over the system for fact-finding with『Chosun wangjo shilok』and 『Wangshileuigwe』as the central figure. when a system support history book, the contents of the book become more substantial.
A chronicler who had called 'sa-gwan' wrote 'sa-cho' which was based on editing the chronicles. he had got the power and privilege even though he had been low in social standing. when he had stayed in the Royal Court, he had made unbiased writing about the king's words and deeds, the discussion about the affairs of a nation with a subject. most of chroniclers were young government officials. because youthful ardor was more necessary than administrative ability for writing sa-cho and they made away with closed-door politics.
Even a king couldn't see the sa-cho. the chronicles like shilok was the banned books while the history books had a wide circulation.
They set about the editing after the organization for editing had been provided with a specific guideline. there were 3steps like cho-cho, jung-cho, jeong-cho for a manuscript. it was because they wanted to make a right history through the 3 steps.
They had made a copy when a manuscript had been made. but it had not been printed until the king Sejong of Chosun dynasty and well preserved.
Wangshileuigwe was the book which had been written about the formalities of national events and all sorts of goods, distinguished services, methods of the events. the book tried to include new form and substance although fixed form was a standard of the society in Chosun dynasty.
They used to make new printing types when they edited the euigwe like 『Wonhaengeulmyojungnieuigwe』. also they started to publish it and gave the publication to the subjects who took part in the conduct of state affairs. After that 'euigwe' became popularized. when a royal family's event was recorded, also it included the meaning of popularization. now we need to study how editing history book can make the good use of the digital age.
