Lacan tells that Sade shows the truth of Kant. However, it is not his last word. Lacan never abandons Kant because of his ethical hazards revealed in relation to Sade but reintroduces Kant's ethics into the psychoanalytic field. Kant's ethics of pure moral law excluding desire is inverted into the ethics of pure desire or drive in Lacan. This paper focuses mainly on the difference between Kant's ethics and Sade's distorted ethical assertion despite of their similarity and on how the pure desire and drive can take an ethical position beyond the traditional ethics before Kant. The first part, "moral law and drive beyond the pleasure principle" will show the way Sade can be the truth of Kant. Both ethical positions are related with the unfamiliar, excluded interior thing in the subject, that is, Freudian Ding. The second part, "the relation between desire (drive) and death" shows that in his analysis of Antigone Lacan inverts Kantian ethics into the psychoanalytic one. Antigone shows human's singular desire can get the ethical position in relation to the Thing. In the third part, "Sadian subject's trap", we will see why Sade is not the whole truth of Kant and Antigone, even if they have the common ethical ground. In conclusion, by appealing to Kant, Lacan discards the traditional ethics based upon the pleasure principle and shows that Kant's moral law and Sade's will-to-jouissance are commonly grounded on the Thing, objet petit a. And then Lacan discards Sade because of his perverted excuse which is far from Kantian ethics and Antigone's ethical attitude. Lacan's psychoanalytic ethics is not fallen into Sadian pit. In this way Lacan shows that Freudian desire or drive centered upon the Thing can fully assume an ethical stance.
