In this research, properties of cooling and heating load by increase of ventilation and heat recovery systems are examined by energy simulation. Heating load was linearly increased while ventilation rate increased, cooling load was decreased while ventilation rate increased. But cooling load started to increase when ventilation rate exceeded specific value. The reason of this was analysed as night ventilation effect. In heating period, almost energy was recovered by sensible heat exchange. And recovered energy by latent heat exchange was more than recovered energy by sensible heat exchange in cooling period. Efficiency of heat recovery systems in cooling period are lower than efficiency in heating period, and difference of temperature between indoor air and outdoor air in cooling period are small. Therefore recovered energy in cooling period was much little than recovered energy in heating period. According to this result, sensible heat exchanger was estimated more economical than enthalpy exchanger. And by using mechanical ventilation system, the electric charges of using fan was more than increased cost of heating and cooling.
