The TLCD(Tuned Liquid Column Damper) is the one of the passive vibration control system devices for tall buildings. The TLCD are tuned in frequency of a target structure with adjusting a effective length of liquid. It might have effectiveness which are a broad adjustment of frequency, easy installation and economic install and maintenance.
According to the shaking table test, the important parameters for the practical design of TLCD are acquired. TLCD models are made through changing of effective lengths and vertical column heights in a tank.
In this paper, the behavior of a TLCD is investigated by a shaking table test. The Shaking table test show that the liquid motion in columns relies on amplitude of shaking table and adjusted frequency with the effective length of liquid.
