Processing and utilization technology of wood can be approached from various areas, but construction area has huge amounts of usage and has the technical possibility of utilization based on various products and methods. In particular, wood is the basic material of construction area and its utilization is diverse depending on reasonable and technical approach, based on thermal performance, texture and social recognition. Several countries in Europe and Asia have used natural wood and recycling technologies and actively developed technologies regarding manufacturing and utilization of Wood-Wool Cement Board with various advantages such as fire resistance, thermal resistance, sound absorption, soundproof and water resistance.
If high quality Wood-Wool Cement Boards with excellent functions are produced and utilized like this, it is considered to obtain various technical, social and economic effects such as creation of pleasant housing environment from noise and pollution, to obtain national economic benefits according to transfer of technology outside the country, alternation of import, national energy saving due to thermal resistance and industrialization of national forest resources, and production of environmental-friendly products to cope with 21st century. In this regard, this study aims to carry out overall quality evaluation of Wood-Wool Cement Board and to find out suitable utilization usage.
