The CWR track is mainly used to obtain an operation safety and passenger's comfort of a high speed train and to save efforts of track maintenance. However, the additional axial force by interaction between CWR track on bridge and slab of bridge may be occurred. Therefore careful designs and managements of CWR track should be required and the rail expansion joint is used to decrease the excessively additional axial force in this process.
The major objective of this study is to investigate parameters influencing on the axial force of the CWR track when the dynamic train load is applied and to reflect its results on the design. The finite element analysis for the static and dynamic train load was performed to analyze the mechanical behaviors of ballasted railway bridge.
