The society of informatization already comes in front of us, and its influence already range over the entire fields of politics, economy and culture. Since local council has been constituted in 1991, the era of local autonomy has come. One of major issues deal t in these days of local self-government and informatization is the regional informatization. This paper addresses the regional informatization.
The purpose of this study is to explore the ways toward policy development in the regional informatization. For this purpose, the concepts which are related to the regional development and informatization are defined, the relations of the two are discussed, and the regional informatization activities are surveyed. And the desirable policy development for the regional informatization and the regional development linkages is sought.
