The objective of this paper is to draw up policies that implicate capital metropolitan management of Seoul compared with neighboring countries' capital, Beijing in China, and Tokyo in Japan. In order to achieve this objective, it covers theoretical review and statistical data.
It suggests some ideas for successful implementation of Seoul metropolitan management strategy.
① The Seoul metropolitan region needs to globalize.
② The spatial structure of Seoul region needs to be rearranged for knowledge based society through governance.
③ The Seoul metropolitan region should be made into an environmental city with residential participation and cooperation network.
④ The local governments of Seoul metropolitan region should build localized brand and image.
