Compared to the meridional transport, atmospheric transport between land and ocean has been known as a secondary process determining a subsidiary structure of climate. A recent research is notable to give us a new perspective that the transport between land and ocean has a comparable magnitude to that of the meridional transport. Thus, in this study, the atmospheric transport of energy and water vapor between land and ocean simulated with YONU AGCM Tr7 was estimated for each continent and some features of its temporal and spatial distribution were discussed. The climatological mean annual latent heat energy and total energy were transported from the global ocean to the global land. The amount of latent heat energy transport exceeded that of energy transport. Thus the latent heat energy transport seemed to induce the energy transport. However, this global feature of atmospheric transport between land and ocean was a synthetic result composed of the transports to each continent which are diverse but different from the global transport. The atmospheric transports of total energy and dry static energy show significant seasonal variation, in a global aspect, including directional reverse. This global aspect takes after the seasonal variations over Eurasia and North America. The seasonal variations of dry static energy transport resembled those of total atmospheric energy transport. Dry static energy is diverged from the continents in summer and converged to the continents in winter. It is suggested that seasonal variation as well as annual mean of energy transport should be considered together.
