The greatest man in beekeeping history of The late Chosun Dynasty is Mr. Lee-ik. As he was a scholar in Southern Man (which is, in Korea, Nam in, 南人) of which the members were forced to be remained outside of power structure, his research contributions on beekeeping were not succeeded. In this respect the author of San rim gyung je (山林經濟), Hong Mann Sun who was born 38 years earlier than Mr. Lee-Ik is forthnate case. Although his writing was not original, it was widely read and remained since then as a model text which had been followed by all kinds of beekeepers including improved and enlarged San rim gyung je (「Agricultural Economy」). As the beekeeping skills of Mr. Lee-Ik suffer nothing by comparison with those of the world beekeeping history, I have already published an article on him concretely. In this study, I went deep into the Beekeeping in the late Chosun Dynasty with my eyes keeping on San rim gyung je. The most peculiar thing is a kind of new initiatory writing which produced by Bing Hur Gak(female) for the readers in general. The Beekeeping in The late Chosun Dynasty is succeeded to the earlier tradition of beekeeping method. No other person than Mr. Lee-Ik is the figure who suggests new and original theory and technique in beekeeping.
