Recently, various development or fires poses big threat to world heritage in Korea, which was appointed by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). Accordingly, the risk-preventing management system should be immediately prepared, For example, it is necessary to reinforce an alarm system for protecting wooden structures, the establishment of a fire extinguisher, the practical training of profession for the manager of world heritage.
In addition, it is important to maintain the completeness of world heritage so as to protect it. The impact evaluation of culture should be intensively examined at the beginning of development plans, and comprehensive thinking is required to comprehensively harmonize the value of local tangible intangible cultural properties. In connection with this, the production of local heritage map could support the above requirements.
What we should keep in mind is that keeping human value and honor in world heritage is more difficult than being selected as world heritage, for which many difficulties and a long time should be overcome. Therefore, we should wisely apply our world heritage, and keep making efforts to connect the application with the possibility of consistent development.
