The ideology of patriarchy separates the female and the mother, the ideology of maternity derives from it, by it makes the discourse on the female into the existence connected with the maternity naturally. So the maternity is the composition of discussion formed in social intricacy of one society. This paper will study about the mother in the position of the subject, I explain the process that the function of power and resistance give the potentiality to mother, on the other hand they hinder the potentiality of the stabilized, single, consistent experience by presented being mother. That is about the research of the relation between maternityㆍcare as the immanent conflict with being mother and rageㆍviolence of mother. Then I investigate the importance graded to maternity and also consider that maternity have influence and meaning about the formation of female's self-identity, it maybe have them in the relation of mother and daughter.
In the position of like this, I analysis the maternity of Han Seong-won's novels as the feministic point of view. The paper observes how the maternity in the real world where she must become the perfect mother who the patriarchy needs and she raise her children without husband suppress and distort the desire of female, and how the relationship between daughter and mother connect in the maternal coherence. The devotion and sacrifice mother is the mother made by the maternal discussion order of Korea, and this myth of maternity is reproduced in the name of mother, this become the basis that 'mother' as the effect of this discussion could estimate the acts of all mother by the standard of good or bad. Through the analysis of this view, we may confirm the revealed situation that maternity exist only function and structure but absence as the subject.
