I research, in this paper, progressive development process of Korean modem philosophy according to change of contents in 'Dongdo'. Based on Dongdo-Seogi philosophy which The Enlightenment Party Leaders raises, Cheoksa-wijeong-undong can be defined as Thought of Dongdo-Donggi; Movements in Korean Independence Club as Thought of Seodo-Seogi; and The Patriotic Enlightenment Movement as Thought of Dongdo-Byunyong.
In between Thought of Dongdo-Donggi and Thought of Dongdo-Seogi, the difference of Donggi and Seogi is important, but there are also differences in contents of Dongdo. At once, if Dongdo of Thought of Dongdo-Seogi is a stringent Zhu Xi's neo-confucianism, Dongdo of Thought of Dongdo-Seogi is the entire confucianism. Though it is same Thought of Dongdo-Seogi, at first, mainly it had meaning of acceptance theory of Seogi, but later, it replace features as preservation theory of Dongdo.
Thought of Dongdo-Seogi have a head-on collision with Thought of Seodo-Seogi, now focus of argument moves from Gi to Do. And Seodo scholars criticized head-on with confucianism which is the core of Dongdo, but then they presented the Christian religion as Seodo. Dongdo-Byunyong scholars who follow tried to transfigure into modern religion and philosophy through various change of Dongdo in a way of religion and philosophy. In consequence, Korean modem philosophy became to show various figures.
