As concerns have developed about issues such as global warming, damage to eco-systems, the inequalities between countries around the world, sustainability has become an important issue for governments and companies. Sustainability covering economic, social and environmental aspects of human activities is one of the most important challenges in 21st century. In this circumstance, the Republic of Korea government is moving toward to the sustainable industry with the slogan, 'Low Carbon and Green Growth' based on sustainability. To accomplish the sustainable industry, it is necessary to study on sustainability of the construction industry, which is interrelated with most industries and affects the national economy and employment. As essential sustainability indicators, Eco-Efficiency is fundamental for the sustainability of the nation's construction industry. The sustainability of construction industry can be achieved by means of three perspectives. Frist, an ideology of green responsibility is necessary for life-cycle process. Second, an effort to alter construction waste to ecological resources is necessary. Third, it is needed to publicize the environmental information.
