    In this study, the experimental study about the flame stability and combustion characteristics of premixed swirl burner with varying combustor diameters and conditions were investigated using a model combustor. As results, the open flames without a combustor had a higher bulk velocity and a wider flame stability region at high equivalence ratio than those at low equivalence ratio, and the flame stability region was dominated by an equivalence ratio rather than a swirl number. However, when the combustor was installed, the bulk velocity and flame stability region were decreased and narrowed as the equivalence ratio increased. In addition, the smallest combustor diameter had the highest NOx and CO emission for an adiabatic condition. However, when the heat exchanger was installed on the combustor wall, NOx and CO was reduced largely for the smallest diameter due to heat loss effect.
