The fourth local government of Gyeonggi just now born will start new challenges towards prosperity and competitive edge of future. It is time to draw together some of policy directions on operating a deregulation target’s regime.
Gyeonggi, the nation’s largest region with nearly one-fourths of its population, has undergone a remarkable transformations over the last ten years. It is easy to discern explicit differences between the modes of policy under the local regime. Reexamination of this issue for the Gyeonggi case is necessary because the current Gyeonggi government policy does not accurately reflect the uncertain and complex characteristics of modes of policy directions involved industry convergence.
The main purpose of this paper is to provide the basis for decision-maker consultations and communication activity relating to the development of the Gyeonggi strategy in the field of the quality of life. In this study, I first attempt to categorize trendbased policy directions of culture, tourism, and social welfare sectors more accurately, especially by analyzing the targets, strategies and actions of the last three local regimes and predicting the future demand potential and then demonstrate what policy agenda should be presented to accomplish these goals. Finally, some practical suggestions for a better management of cultural tourism and social welfare sectors are offered.
