The objective of this study is to present the policy implications of the export assistance programs for Korean SMEs(Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises). To achieve such objectives, present export assistance programs(focus on non-financial) to be enforced by the government and export promotion organizations for the development of SMEs of KOREA. And this study will analyze the relation among the awareness and usage of export assistance programs.
The main findings of this study are as follows : First, the programs should be developed awareness degree of programs. Since the awareness of export assistance programs leads to increase usage that is promote export performance. Moerover the programs should be classified internal factors of SMEs and types of businesses.
Second, many export assistance programs to encourage exporting domestic SMEs to enter the export field should be extend and approach by holistic. Especially, new paradigms for the performance of the export assistance programs should be required to effective 'inward globalization' and carried out with clear target and designer programs.
