It has been well known that the export insurance system is being used to promote Export in various countries as part of export promotion. There are many ways to approach the implementation of changes to the system. These factors led to conduct research based on a comprehensive survey of the users for the purpose of finding ways to improve the export insurance system in Korea.
The result of this paper can be summarized as follows;
Firstly, since the export insurance system should be employed on the basis of firm and steady insurance funds, the government must maintain sufficient support to the insurance fund.
Secondly, the post-shipment export credit supported by bank guarantee for small and medium-sized enterprise should be observed not only to decrease the ratio of insurance accidents, but also to maintain a firm insurance system.
Thirdly, the public relation(PR) and advertisement of the export insurance system to the related industries is needed as a matter of urgency.
Fourthly, the Korea Export Insurance Co. must provide export enterprises with invaluable information in advance to assist their entry into new markets.
