Korea has the plan to be the Big Eight of the world in international trade power by 2012. But, Korea would be faced with difficult problems if it does not prepare the effective strategy for trade in services due to the global competition of service sector.
The purpose of this paper is to help Korea to succeed in global business by enabling Korea to establish the effective strategy of trade in services through analyzing the process of trade in services comparing it with that of trade in goods. The process of trade in services for research objective was not analyzed systematically till now. In order to identify the inherent problems and risks in relation to trade practices, 3 service sectors which are System Integration(SI), Marine Transport, and Tourism services were reviewed.
This paper suggests that trade process be analyzed into subdivision, that global business strategy be remodeled for the balance of trade in goods and trade in services, and that research field of trade in services be posed in global trade area.
