Objectives : The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency and severity of the subjective symptoms perceived by students at the premenstrual period.
Methods : This study was done with 112 randomly sampled in andong science college students in order to survey the status of the premenstrual syndrome in students during menstruation and to analize the relationship between them from October 1 to 2, 2000.
Results : The statistical average age was 21.17. Those who had a regular menstrual cycle were 58.0%. Those with premenstrual syndrome were 76.8%. In severity of premenstrual syndrome the incidence of moderate, and sever form were 76.9%, 23.1%. Low back pain and abdominal of pain part was 65.5%.
Conclusions : The purpose of this research is inform and aid young women through counseling and treatment of problem.
