The objectives of this paper are to present the heat transfer performances of the enhanced tube for the absorber in the absorption chiller. The absorption chiller is made up of four types of heat exchanger. Among these, the absorber is one of the most important heat exchanger for the heat transfer performance and price of the absorption chiller.
The enhanced tubes are attached with serrated fins on the outer surface and ridges in the inner surface. The experimental results show that the overall heat transfer coefficients of the enhanced tubes are more improved than bare tubes. These enhanced tubes are good suggestion for the high performance of the absorption chiller.
