The poems of exile has taken an important part in the history of postwar spanish literature, because after the spanish civil war, the exile was executed in a popular wave, and many writers who had taken an nuclear role in prewar era -included in literary groups as the Generation 27- went to other countries like France, Italy, and especially Latin America.
In the theme of Exile Poetry, only the first generation was treated seriously. So poets like Juan Ramon Jimenez, Emilio Prados, Luis Cernuda, Pedro Salinas etc. were continuously discussed at the various nivels.
But it is necessary also to perceive the existence of one-and-a-half generation, especially exiled to Mexico. This generation consists of writers o poets whose parents belong to the first generation but who left Spain as children.
In this article, I analyze the evidences of exile in the poets of one-and-a-half generation. In the poems of the first generation, memory or incomunication derived from exile is represented in the form of philosophical or metaphisical images, not reflected in personally detailed poetic forms. But in the poems of the one-and-a-half generation, the evidences of exile give direct influences, divided in three different forms. In the poems of Enrique de Rivas and Jose Miguel Garcia Ascot, memory or injury from exile is dominant especially in their first-era poems. They intend to represent the ambiguous memories by the visual images, but not in depth.
In the poems of Luis Rius Azcoita the evidences of exile are more continuously represented, and here memories of exile are translated to the existencial message.
For Tomas Segovia, whose poetry is evaluated as one of the most metaphorized structure, the evidences of exile are not represented in direct forms or words, but in his poems the exile works as the poetic energy and thoughts.
